Fashion, beauty, glamour& more from Unilever’s ‘House of Lux’ event
It was all glam as Unilever Nigeria unveiled its new Lux classic
collection. The red carpet event which, took place at Eko Hotel and
Suites, was a gathering of celebrities from all walks of life- Kaylah of
Cool FM, Eku Edewor and Dolapo Oni to mention a few.
A
product launch with a difference, the new Lux variants were introduced
with a fashion show by one of Nigeria’s creative fashion designer, Mai
Atafo.

Each dress depicted Lux’s ability to ignite
the spark - Atafo said he was inspired by Lux soaps infused with fine
fragrance & Lux promise to leave women with irresistible soft
fragrant skin.
Similar to The collection on display by
Atafo came in five different designs depicting Lux’s five new alluring
variants. Just asLux’s goal tseeks toobring back the spark in
relationships, the fantastic collection displayed at the event are
capableaimed and succeeded in of making a woman feel beautiful
fabulously feminine and confident. Delicately, luxurious and synonymous
to each of the new Lux variants, the outfits can only be described as
sensuous, sassy, indulgent, unique and classy.
The pink floraldress inspired by Lux Soft Touch Beauty Soap set the
stage. It was an elegant dress, carefully made with 100 yards of tulle
fabric, bringing out the wearer’s soft, feminine and sensual side.
Outfit two, was a long flowing dress with a detailed velvet bodice
representing Lux Velvet Touch Beauty Soap. It communicated the message
of softness, which is also an attribute of the new Lux beauty soap.
The third piece, a wedding dress, crafted to denote Lux Soft Caress
Beauty Soap, is a silky, smooth, yet luxurious dress. Glamorously white
in colour, this outfit can easily ignite the spark in every lady’s
spouse.
The fourth dress on the runway was a simple piece
which depicted Lux Shake Me Up Beauty Soap –a refreshing dress with
smooth flowing fabric, one that would make any wearer of the dress &
their significant other feel fabulous!
The last on the runway,
was a blue sequined detailed dress inspired by Lux Wake Me Up Beauty
Soap. Atafo said he took elements within the soap such as refreshing
mineral salt, seaweed and a dash of cooling menthol to represent the
reawakening effect of the soap.
Introducing the new Lux
classic collection, the Brand Building Director, Unilever Nigeria Plc,
Mr. David Okeme noted that, “Because we know relationships alight with a
dash of seduction, we hereby introduce our renewed Lux Classic
Collection, infused with delicate floral notes and moisturizing
SilkEssence™.Our transformed classic soap range sensuously lathers and
scents, leaving your skin irresistible to touch”.
